- I’ll never forget this day. I was in 2nd grade and had a White House tour. We were on the lawn to see Marine One take off. As the First Lady, Rosalynn Carter, walked by, she stopped and posed with me for a photo. Many thanks to her for decades of community service.
- Happy Saturday! Watching Daddy @PeterAlexander and our friend @kwelkernbc . Peter is in the basement and has been for days. He had a “close contact” working at the White House. Welker revealed I called him a “needy basement dweller,” and Ava calls him “Johnny Quarantine!”
- 🚨🚨I have some exciting personal and professional news to share with you. After 20 years at WJLA-TV and 26 years as a broadcast journalist, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from the anchor desk to spend more time with my beautiful family. More on Instagram . ❤️
- This is basically how the Alexander/Starlings are feeling today! I will now be working a “day shift,” still anchoring the 4 and 5 pm news, but the evenings will now be for family time! After 16 years at ABC 7 News - WJLA, I am ready for this new chapter, and feeling grateful!
- I am in shock over the loss of this wonderful man. Doug Hill was so many things. He was a talented meteorologist, the best of the best. He was a kind, funny family man deeply rooted in his faith. It was an honor to work with him, and Doug, we miss you so much already.
- I am SO proud of these two. Today is the 100th day of school... 100 days of virtual learning for Kindergarten and 2nd grade. It has not always been easy, but these girls have been real superstars. (And so have their teachers!)
