We’ve sadly been advised by the @BTP that, in addition to the driver and a passenger, one of the fatalities in the Stonehaven derailment was our conductor. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and colleagues of those who have lost loved ones.
Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by this tragic event, particularly the families of those who have lost their lives. The railway in Scotland is a family, and it’s one that is hurting today. @ScotRail@NetworkRailSCOT@BTP
Heading home with @ScotRail after a momentous day - returning the company to full public ownership after 25 years. Well done to everyone who worked so hard to ensure a smooth transition and to @ScotGovFM for helping to unveil a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion.
No, I will not reign Angus (or anyone else) in for caring about safer travel. @scotgov has been clear: customers should wear a face covering on public transport. This is for the safety of our colleagues and customers alike. That’s it. @ScotRail

who is this Angus character?!
he lectures passengers about not wearing masks, yet many of their staff don't either (and justifiably so!)
is he trying to be divisive?
@AlexHynes are you able to reign your staff in a bit please?
On the way back from Lapland (Boat of Garten!), I couldn’t resist riding up front with our driver. Captured here (safely of course) is Druimuachdar Pass Summit, the highest point on the rail network, 1,484 ft above sea level. #ScotRailSantaExpress@ScotRail@NetworkRailSCOT 🎅
To the drivers, signallers, cleaners, conductors, maintainers, planners, controllers, dispatchers, social teams and back-room staff, your selfless acts are helping to keep Scotland moving for essential workers in the NHS and for freight. Thank you! 🙏 @NetworkRailSCOT@ScotRail
