Trinity College Dublin branch of @AcaforPalestine Organising to support justice in Palestine and building the academic boycott of Israel campaign at TCD
Calling all Trinity College Dublin staff (academic, technical, professional) and PhD researchers - letter to the Provost for you to sign, calling for action from the university in response to Israel's genocidal war on Gaza
Last night & this morning at TCD’s encampment in support of Palestine. If you’re Trinity staff, bring your Trinity ID and head on over to support the students and their demands.
Israel has destroyed all 12 universities in Gaza and has murdered around 100 Palestinian academics and scholars & thousands of students. Join us today as we honor them and demand Irish universities across the island to divest from genocide. #TLC4P
“Some say that the students are ‘black & white’ on issues, fundamentalist, not seeing the grey in things. @tcdsu are reminding us that human rights & dignity are fundamental.I stand in solidarity with our students.”Prof Fintan Sheerin, HOS of Nursing & Midwifery & elected Fellow.
This was won by the commitment, organization and practical solidarity of Trinity students. We'll be continuing to work with them, and within college structures to end any and all complicity with apartheid and genocide.
We're in Trinity News urging college to abandon its stance of neutrality towards genocide, and urging Trinity academics to join their many colleagues who support the boycott of Israeli academia
Independent Senator for Trinity College, Lynne Ruane, spoke at our demonstration at TCD:
“Trinity you are not neutral. You are complicit and as long as you stay silent on the breaking of international law & the genocide of the Palestinian people, you are complicit.”

We wake up this morning to find our college is investing in companies committing human rights abuses, from a country committing genocide
This is why we urge our colleagues in Trinity to sign our letter to the Provost calling for an end to these ties forms.gle/TeBcysq36AbJSt…
Trinity College Dublin has investments in UN-blacklisted Israeli companies.
One is a company Norway excluded from its sovereign wealth fund because of links to illegal settlements.
Another illegally built a solar farm in the occupied territories.
