On the 5th of January 2014, the 1st episode of Space Dandy aired. Directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, the series was produced by Studio Bones & was worked on by a number of talents. It had a total of 26 episodes & was aired in the US one day before Japan.

On the 1st of April 2007, the 1st episode of Gurren Lagann aired. Directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi & written by Kazuki Nakashima, the series ran for 27 episodes & would have two film adaptations in 2008 & 2009. It debuted in SRW Z2: Hakai-Hen (PSP) in 2011.

On the 20th of August 1983, Daicon IV was released. It was made by Daicon Film, a 12 man studio with the 3 founding members being Hideaki Anno, Hiroyuki Yamaga, and Takami Akai. The studio would later go on to become Gainax studios.
