Just wondering if there are any plans to create something like the Search Widget for Google Maps by Flippercode. This lets you put a simple geographical search field up front in the style of many popular websites, which then takes you to the map page at the inputed location.
Definitely a feature I’d like to see.
Thanks!
March 14, 2023 at 12:53 pm #76674MatthewModeratorHi Paul,
Thank you for getting in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.
Yes that is indeed possible as we introduced this ability in the latest Atlas Novus build in V9.
You may do this by following the below steps:
1. Ensure that your build is set to the “Atlas Novus” build.
2. Create/Edit your page.
3. Search and add the “Store Locator” gutenberg block.
4. Set your linked map and enter the URL link to your map page redirect.
5. Save your page.Once this has been done, you should be able to search for a location and the page should redirect to your map page with the search.
Please do let me know if this helps?

Thanks.
March 22, 2023 at 4:30 pm #76774MatthewModeratorHi Paul,
Thank you for your response and time on this, I really appreciate it!
That is great news and I am happy that it helps and that you are enjoying the plugin.
With regards to implementing the store locator block in a template, you may do so using the
do_shortcode()WordPress function:do_shortcode("[wpgmza_store_locator id='1' url='{pageToRedirectTo}']");Please do let me know if this helps?

I can get the other map shortcodes to work such as displaying a map in my template, though I can’t get this one working. Any hints? I’m using Bricks Builder, I’ve tried putting it in the shortcode block, a text block and a code block and nothing happens with this shortcode.
thanks!

October 20, 2025 at 12:45 pm #84841MatthewModeratorHi @darren,
Thank you for getting in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.
Yes the shortcode is still valid, thus please ensure that your value ‘1’ in your shortcode refers to the respective ID of your map that the store locator refers to.
Please also ensure that you are using the latest Atlas Novus build (Maps -> Settings -> General Settings) as the ability to use separate component shortcodes was only introduced within the Atlas Novus build?
I hope this helps?
