So I was elated when this little wish of mine was granted so quickly. I guess there would have been hundreds like me who&#8217;ve sent their feedback on this issue to Google. Anyway, as of 20th of February 2009, you can <strong>create a Gmail theme for your account<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<h2>Choose your own colors feature<\/h2>\n<p>Though (unfortunately) you still cannot include images when creating a Gmail theme, you <strong>can choose your own colors<\/strong>. This feature is available under the &#8220;<em>Themes<\/em>&#8221; tab in Gmail settings- it&#8217;s the last option so you might need to scroll down.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clr\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"bottom-ads\">\n<h4>Sponsored Links<\/h4>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<!-- Inner Page Top - Non Responsive -->\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:inline-block;width:336px;height:280px\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1043128618639037\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"5670477364\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"clr\"><\/div>\n<p>Clicking on it will open a pop-up and as you move the mouse cursor over the different elements, you&#8217;ll get to see small boxes with a downward arrow which means the element can be customized &#8211; it would also be enclosed in a border with dotted lines. When you click on these arrow-boxes the element name is shown along with color palettes. Listed below are the different page sections whose colors you can change to create a custom Gmail theme for your account.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"withbullets\">\n<li>Web page <strong>main background<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Left <strong>frame<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Left <strong>Box<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Top <strong>frame<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Button Bar<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Messages<\/strong> and <strong>Selected message<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"justimage\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/www.webdevelopersnotes.com\/tips\/gmail\/create-gmail-theme-choose-color-of-different-elements.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"392\" alt=\"Create your Gmail theme by choosing colors for different web page elements\" class=\"full-width\"\/><\/p>\n<p>These boxes display color palettes when you click on them. There are 35 colors in each palette and if you want more hit the button with the plus (+) sign to open a picker with which you can choose a custom color.<\/p>\n<p class=\"justimage\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/www.webdevelopersnotes.com\/tips\/gmail\/custom-colors-gmail-theme-palette-picker.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"393\" alt=\"Pick colors from palettes or choose a custom color from the picker to create your own custom Gmail theme\" class=\"full-width\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Remember to save the changes else all your work will vanish.
