I enjoyed working with Naveed. The structure Rora provides helped me navigate the post-interview stages of the job hunt process, and I felt empowered to advocate for myself and my value better than I would have been by myself.

I signed with Rora towards the end of my job search, once I was in the final interview stage with 5 or so companies. I was mainly looking for support during salary negotiations, as well as advice during team conversations so I can more clearly define my ideal company criteria and figure out strategies on how to ask about these. Naveed completely exceeded my expectations on both counts! He ramped up surprisingly quick with the context of each of the conversations I was having, talked to me early on to understand what was important for me in my next role, and offered useful insights on almost every important communication I had with the companies. During the negotiation stage he made great suggestions for how I could best research the offers I got (I didn’t even know recruiters would agree for me to meet the hiring manager and TWO team members?!) and how to structure the negotiation as a win-win while gently applying pressure when needed. Throughout, I was most pleased with how detailed his knowledge of my situation and conversation status was, and his suggestions on what questions to ask and how to interpret the responses.

As a result, I became much more confident in navigating a job search, felt more reassured that I found the right fit, and got a modest comp increase during negotiations. An excellent advisory service in every sense!

I have been in Tech for ~10 years and have done fairly well negotiating for positions in the past. However, the process and information provided by Rora made negotiating much easier and straight forward with a template of how and when to provide supporting information during negotiations. I particularly appreciate Arian's great advice and perspective. I feel like I had done well in the negotiations with a small start up, but a single half sentence added by Arian in a counter offer email ended up accounting for 30k in additional income in the final offer. I later found out from the head of HR that I was one of the highest payed employees - and that I was worth it (to paraphrase him). Rora took my decent negotiation skills and added the little bit extra that was needed to really get what I was worth and that my company knew it.

Working with Arian was amazing. He was proactive in helping me with the stages of negotiations. I would not have considered negotiating beyond the base. Rora has good knowledge of how to negotiate and build relationships with the hiring team. They also have a pay-what-you-think-is-fair guarantee. I'd recommend them. The pricing can get tricky when you don't have an initial offer from the recruiter. Be sure to understand the working style of your advisor and make sure it matches your expectations. Note that there are circumstances in which even Rora might not be able to help you negotiate a great offer.
