Sarah lives in Alexandria, VA and is newly married. As a COVID bride, she has first-hand experience with all of the hurdles couples face as a result of postponing their wedding. She eventually tied the knot on June 5th, after two years of waiting, so these wedding topics are fresh on her mind!
Experience
Sarah started off her career as an intern at Washingtonian Magazine. She then worked full-time at WeddingWire, where she also focused on bridal fashion content. Sarah was an editor at Postcards travel magazine where she worked with hotels and cruise lines to create sponsored content. She was also a content marketing manager for multiple B2B companies. Sarah is now a full-time freelance writer who regularly contributes to Brides and Nicki Swift and has had work featured in Style Me Pretty and Betches. She’s also a contract writer for a mental health start-up.
Education
Sarah is a proud graduate of Miami University of Ohio, where she double majored in journalism and communication. She spent a semester abroad through Semester at Sea where she spent four months on a ship visiting 12 countries.
In college, Sarah interned at Cincinnati Magazine and the Cincinnati Enquirer where she got to be in the newsroom the night former President Barack Obama was re-elected.
