Does It Smell Like Victory?
Guest Post by Jim Kunstler

The message seems to be something like the USA isn’t messing around with all those strike forces in the waters around Iran. The Islamic Republic suddenly looks like Rock-and-Hard-Place-Land. Everybody and his uncle are trying to figure out the calculus in play, World War Three or a happy ending?
Epstein-itis
Guest Post by Jim Kunstler
“If you tolerate the intolerable, you’re communicating that it’s okay to mistreat you.” —Aimee Terese on X

Did you think the American zeitgeist — our collective spirit plus our thinking — could not get crazier? Gird your loins. It’s getting worse by the hour. The Jeffrey Epstein files suggest that people will do anything and that people will believe anything. Pizza, hot dogs, white sharks. . . boys, girls, babies, teens, Russian whores. . . celebrities by the score. . . billionaires. . . cannibal orgies. . . vivisection parlors. . . adrenochrome. . . blood. . . dead bodies. . . demon worship. . . a depraved and insane global leadership. . . lemme outa here!

U.S. Airman and Husband BUSTED in Massive $11 Million Scam — Stole $3 Million in Government Medical Supplies to Fund Luxury Lifestyle

A U.S. Air Force staff sergeant and his husband have been federally indicted after prosecutors say they orchestrated a years-long scheme to siphon off millions in taxpayer-funded government resources to bankroll a luxury lifestyle complete with high-end vehicles and a seven-figure home in Arizona.
According to a federal grand jury indictment, Staff Sgt. Richard Stefon Ramroop, 35, and his spouse Manuel George Madrid, 32, are facing a 12-count indictment that includes:
Has China Blown the US Out of the Sky?
Guest Post by Martin Armstrong
China’s military has for the first time shown a new, tailless combat aircraft widely identified by analysts as their sixth-generation fighter jet J-36, a large, unconventional prototype that flew in public alongside a J-20 chase plane and has reignited debate about whether Beijing is closing the technology gap with the West.
Is America an independent country or Israel’s puppet state?
Guest Post by Paul Craig Roberts
The end of World War II was only the beginning of the destruction of Germany. The Americans took over the German educational system. The control permitted Americans to determine the curriculum and write the textbooks. The American control of German education was used to instill guilt into Germans for being German. They were taught that the Third Reich was an offense against humanity made possible by German nationalism. Every aspect of the Third Reich became indefensible. Any form of German nationalism became suspect of a Nazi revival.

“Satanic, Awful, Sacrificial”: Boebert And Maher Discuss Pizzagate, Epstein, And Baby Cannibalism
Talk show host Bill Maher, that ‘blood oath‘ sex party enthusiast who founded ‘Kid Love Productions‘ in 1992 one year after starring in the movie “Pizza Man” – in which he plays a pizza delivery guy who stumbles into an elaborate criminal conspiracy involving Ronald Reagan, Dan Quayle, and Donald Trump (who he kills)…
…sat down with Rep. Lauren Boebert Friday, where the two discussed the latest Epstein files.
Maher started out appearing to apologize to QAnon followers for being “righter than me” when it came to Epstein, adding “Now they also believe a lot of real batsh*t nonsense. But when it comes to-”
“I know you think it is,” Boebert shot back.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY – U.S. hockey team beats the Soviets in the “Miracle on Ice” – 1980
Getty Images
In one of the most dramatic upsets in Olympic history, on February 22, 1980, the underdog U.S. hockey team, made up of college players, defeats the four-time defending gold-medal winning Soviet team at the XIII Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York. The Soviet squad, previously regarded as the finest in the world, fell to the youthful American team 4-3 before a frenzied crowd of 10,000 spectators. Two days later, the Americans defeated Finland 4-2 to clinch the hockey gold.
President Trump is gonna Tariff even harder

Marco the Moron in Munich
Little Marco gave a speech in Munich a week ago. I don’t recall seeing a single article about that here on TBP (sorry if I’m wrong). It was a terrible, horrible, evil speech. You can both watch it in full (about 30 minutes) or read the transcript here What follows is one man’s response to this gawd-awful screed,
==========================================

I’ve written extensively on Substack about so‑called Western civilization, drawing on the work of Michael Hudson, Charles Mann, and others while trying to peel back the myths we tell ourselves about who “we” are. Having done that work, I listened to Marco Rubio’s absurd and foolish speech in Munich with a mixture of disbelief and grim recognition. Clearly, he doesn’t know the history of the United States—or chooses not to—and he certainly doesn’t understand the wider human story that Western hubris has tried so hard to erase.
AI: America’s Newest Savior. Or, Is It?
My other AI post today questions if AI has actual intelligence. This post questions if the AI cure-all, fix-all, save-all hype is justified.
=========================================

Somewhere in America, an executive is on a stage unveiling the future. Behind him, a gleaming electric car rotates under perfect lighting. The screens show swooping animations, the crowd murmurs in admiration, the financial press types the usual adjectives: “revolutionary,” “transformative,” “game‑changing.”
Proof: Artificial Intelligence Does NOT Have ACTUAL Intelligence
In a recent article about AI titled “Luddites Unite” (in gigantic red font) a poster named Anonymous wrote, “Fortunately for you, I do know how this stuff works.”. Indeed! I feel so fortunate that I shall refer to him as Anonymous The Great. This is how our brief conversation went:
Anonymous The Great: “Essentially, at least the models they present to the public to use, are all LLMs which are basically large “dictionaries” that the AI learns from interactions with users”
Stucky: “AI does NOT learn. It is incapable of learning anything … at least not yet. Learning requires intelligence. And despite having intelligence in the name, it is actually quite stupid.”

Tokenized Tyranny: How Elites Are Digitizing Our World for Total Control
I’ve followed investigative journalist Whitney Webb’s work for years, and her once-distant warnings now feel eerily prophetic as they unfold in real time. What she has consistently exposed, the systematic digitization and commodification of everything from natural ecosystems to human life itself, is no longer speculative theory. It’s happening before our eyes.
When I first encountered Whitney’s reporting, I found it hard to believe. Could this level of control and financialization truly be underway? It seemed too dystopian, too extreme. Yet after digging deeper the evidence was undeniable. What she described was not exaggeration. It was an accurate and meticulously documented reality.
Grinding the American Middle Class to Dust
Guest Post by MN Gordon

The housing market, for much of the 20th century, was the bedrock of the American Dream. Home ownership, and the financial stability it represents, was a sure path to middle-class prosperity.
That dream turned to a nightmare for many American families during the epic real estate bubble and subsequent bust in 2008-09. What’s more, in the near two decades that followed, federal monetary policies coupled with restrictive local development standards have huffed and puffed an even more perilous bubble than the last one.
