Mono\u2019s .NET implementation is based on the ECMA standards for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecma-international.org\/publications\/standards\/Ecma-334.htm\">C#<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecma-international.org\/publications\/standards\/Ecma-335.htm\">Common Language Infrastructure<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Starting fast<\/h2>\n<p>In order to start playing with Mono fast there is a need to install three things.<\/p>\n<h2>Linux<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>You need to have Linux (Ubuntu) installed on you PC (vm).
