Sustainability Claims
Apple has been gradually adopting USB-C across its product lines since 2015, starting with the 12-inch MacBook and expanding to MacBook, iPad, iPhone, AirPods, and Apple TV products. USB-C provides universal compatibility, fast charging up to 100 watts, data transfer speeds up to 40 Gbps, and a reversible design that can be plugged in either direction. All MacBooks since 2015 have transitioned from traditional USB ports to USB-C ports that also support Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 protocols.
Note: While these are the brand's sustainability claims, third-party certifications can provide more reliable verification of sustainable practices. And always look for the following criteria for a sustainable brand: use of sustainable materials (organic, recycled), fair labor practices and worker safety, transparent supply chain, eco-friendly packaging, and commitment to reducing environmental impact through waste reduction and energy efficiency. Preferably mentioned with numbers and percentages.
