In other words, if any operation in the set fails, SQLite aborts other operations and rolls back the data to its initial state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A transaction has four attributes, which are known as ACID:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The letter A stands for atomicity. It means that each transaction must be all or nothing. If any operation in the transaction fails, the database state remains unchanged.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The letter C stands for consistency. It makes sure that any transaction will bring the data in the database from one valid state to another.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The letter I stands for isolation. This is for concurrency control. It ensures that all the concurrent execution of transactions produce the same result as if they were executed sequentially.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The letter D stands for durability. It means when the transaction is committed, it will remain intact regardless of any errors such as power loss.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Java SQLite transaction example<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you connect to an SQLite database using JDBC, the auto-commit mode is enabled. It means that every query is automatically committed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To disable the auto-commit mode, you use the <code>setAutoCommit()<\/code> method of the <code>Connection<\/code> object as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\" aria-describedby=\"shcb-language-2\" data-shcb-language-name=\"Java\" data-shcb-language-slug=\"java\"><span><code class=\"hljs language-java\">
