Frequently Asked Questions

South American Publishing adhere to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and WAME. All manuscripts undergo a mandatory plagiarism check via iThenticate and a double-blind peer-review process. Furthermore, authors must declare any conflicts of interest and provide ethical approval numbers for studies involving humans or animals (following Helsinki and ARRIVE guidelines).

Yes. All our journals and books follow open-access principles, ensuring free and immediate access to scholarly content while maintaining rigorous editorial and ethical standards.

Authors may submit manuscripts, book proposals, and special issue or conference proceedings proposals through the submission platform of each journal or, in the case of articles, via the designated editorial email. Each submission undergoes an initial editorial evaluation and, when applicable, a peer-review process. We also edit special issues, conference proceedings, and academic book series.

The double-blind peer-review process typically takes approximately 4 weeks. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the complexity of the research and the availability of external reviewers. Our goal is to ensure a rigorous but efficient evaluation to provide authors with a timely decision.

South American Publishing follows the WAME recommendations regarding ChatGPT and other chatbots. The use of Large Language Models (LLMs) is not prohibited, but authors must clearly declare their use in the "AI Policy" section of the manuscript. AI cannot be listed as an author, and researchers remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the content.
