What is the European Data Space and who can apply for the grant?
A European Data Space is an ecosystem that allows organizations to structure, govern, and securely exchange data under shared European standards while maintaining full ownership and control of their information. Sheetgo operates an accredited European Data Space where organizations can publish and use datasets without centralizing their data or replacing existing systems. The Data Spaces Grant, funded by the European Union and the Government of Spain, supports organizations that join this ecosystem by covering the structuring, automation, and governance of their data. Eligible applicants include companies legally established in Spain (at least 6 months old and compliant with tax and social security obligations), as well as public administrations and affiliated public entities.
Is it really 100% funded and how much can be granted?
Yes. It is a direct grant — not a loan — and does not need to be repaid if the project is properly executed and documented. The funding supports the work required for an organization to prepare and participate in the Data Space, including data integration, automation, structuring, governance, and related internal or external technical work. The grant typically ranges between €10,000 and €30,000, depending on company size and project scope.
Do I have to share my data or give up ownership?
No. The company retains 100% ownership and full control of its data at all times.

Participation does not require selling, publishing, or transferring your data. Sheetgo does not own, sell, reuse, or store your data as its own dataset. Sheetgo acts strictly as an integrator and orchestrator.
What does Sheetgo do in the project?
Sheetgo operates the Data Space and manages the full technical and administrative process required for organizations to participate. This includes analysis of your data sources, data structuring and cleaning, automation of workflows (Google Sheets, Excel, CSV, databases), creation of data pipelines, preparation of the required technical documentation, administrative management of the grant, and ongoing support during the first year.
Is upfront payment required and when is reimbursement received?
Yes. Under Spanish government regulations, any external work must be invoiced and paid in advance in order to process the grant. Proof of payment is mandatory for approval.
Once the documentation is correctly submitted, reimbursement is typically received within approximately 6 weeks.
