OpenSearch GPT is an open-source personalized AI search engine that can learn your interests and save your preferences while you search and browse the web. Think of it as a customized Perplexity/SearchGPT built just for you.
It was built using the following technologies: Mem0 for memory management, Vercel AI ADK for application framework, Next.js and Tailwind CSS for front-end development, Shadcn UI for user interface components, Cobe for animations, GPT-4o-mini as the AI engine, and Cloudflare Pages for deployment.
I tested OpenSearch GPT by searching “What Is AI”. The results were quick and comprehensive.
At the top, I saw a list of websites cited in the answer. The middle section displayed relevant images. Below that, the AI-generated response covered key points about AI, including its definition, functionality, applications, and types. Each part of the answer included links to source material, which allowed me to explore the information further.
