• In this tutorial you will learn how to conceive, develop, draft, and
revise an academic writing project with the help of AI-powered apps.
• The tutorial is divided into 14 modules.
• Although the modules are numbered sequentially, you don’t have to
follow the sequence. You can start with any module.
• Every module has easy-to-understand instructions along with
screenshots.
The Right Mindset for Using AI-Powered Tools

You will need to keep the following four points in mind


while using AI-powered tools:
• Outsource your labor to AI not your thinking.
• Use AI as your research assistant not your supervisor.
• Use AI to create structure (e.g., outline of a paper) not
content.
• Don’t over-rely on AI and don’t not forget to use your
common sense.
• Neither the fantasized utopia nor the feared dystopia

• Create an account on ChatGPT and ask it for a motivational speech

How to use this tutorial:

• If you are new to AI-powered apps, my suggestion would be to pick a


module and go through it.
• Once you have read through a module, learn to use the given app by
using a mock project. Please don’t try to learn these apps while
working on your actual project. That may frustrate you.
• Since this is a lengthy tutorial, I would recommend covering only one
(or two) modules a day.
