PROGRAMMING A PROJECT

1. Meeting with clients to gather project requirements

2. Make preliminary review of architectural typologies to reference
3. Make list of rooms, functions, and sizes
4. Analyze space relationships using either matrices & bubble diagrams
5. Plan interior spaces to reflect occupant needs
6. Allow adequate spacing for activities and traffic flow by showing furniture
and doors

We each have experienced spaces that did not work well and those that
did. An important element in design is the personal experience the
designer has with the type of project he is working on. It is that ability,
the knowledge of acceptable space requirements, and consideration of
the interior/exterior relationship that can create a good design.
