Module 4

The document outlines the limitations of traditional machine learning (ML) methods, highlighting the need for manual feature extraction and challenges with unstructured data. It also notes that ML struggles with large datasets and has difficulty capturing complex non-linear patterns. These factors contribute to the argument against relying solely on ML for certain applications.

Why Not ML?

• Needs manual feature extraction (engineer has to decide what

inputs matter).

• Struggles with unstructured data (images, audio, text).

• Limited performance when data size is huge.

• Cannot capture complex non-linear patterns easily.
