AIM
• To develop an AI-powered system that uses generative models to simulate mission-
specific terrains in a 2.5D environment and assist in interactive mission planning with
visualizations and risk-based path optimization.
3
OBJECTIVES
• To take mission-specific inputs
Collect details like terrain type, mission goals, and constraints to tailor terrain generation and planning
accordingly.
• To generate 2.5D terrains using Generative AI
Use models like GANs or diffusion models to create realistic or imagined terrain maps with depth and
elevation.
• To provide interactive map-based visualization
Display generated terrains with features like zoom, paths, and overlays to help understand the environment
better.
• To design a modular system for future scalability
Ensure the system can be extended to real-time data, weather input, or multiplayer collaboration in future
versions.
4
INTRODUCTION
• In critical missions like disaster rescue, surveillance, or exploration, understanding terrain is
essential. Traditional terrain planning lacks flexibility and realism.
• This project introduces a novel system combining Generative AI with mission planning to create
interactive, simulated terrains tailored to specific goals.
• By generating 2.5D terrains using AI models and integrating them with an interactive
visualization tool, the system allows users to simulate complex environments and plan
operations more effectively.
• It supports custom mission inputs, highlights potential risks —offering a smarter, adaptive
alternative to conventional planning methods.

PROPOSED WORK
• Develop an input system for users to enter mission-specific parameters
Build a frontend or input interface that collects mission details like terrain type, objectives,
constraints, and environmental preferences, which will guide the terrain generation and planning
logic.
• Integrate a generative model (GAN or diffusion) to create 2.5D terrains
Use a trained generative AI model to produce terrain images with depth features (2.5D), simulating
realistic or hypothetical environments based on the input parameters.
• Design an interactive visualization tool for simulated mission paths
Develop a UI that displays the generated terrain map with features like zooming, animated paths,
markers for goals or obstacles, and other mission-relevant overlays.
