What is Physical Activity?
●Does not mean only for
exercise it can be doing
household chores,
Running errands,
Gardening, Recreational,
through sports.
In order to reduce health risk, we must
change our lifestyle.
What are the different aspects of
lifestyle?
1.Food Choice

- refers to how people


decide on what to buy and
eat.
2. Physical Activity
- Refers to all movement
including during leisure
time, for transport to get to
and from places, or as part
of a person’s work
3. Eating Habits
-refers to why and how people
eat, which foods they eat, as
well as the ways people
obtain, store, use, and discard
food.
Let us never forget that our life is
connected to many aspects. As human, it is
be mindful of our choices in foods and
physical activities, because our health and
lifestyle are affected as well.
The following are risk factors that
need attention:
a. Genetics/ b. Age
Heredity

c. Physical Make-Up
Aside from those risk,
we need to monitor
also your weight since
it directly affects your
health.
To assess, you need to understand
the formula of weight management.

1. Weight Gain
- Energy consumed is greater
than energy expended
2. Weight Loss

- Energy consumed
is less than energy
expended.
3. Weight
maintenance

- Energy consumed
equal energy
expended.
Moreover, you need to know your
Body Mass Index or your BMI to
see if your height and weight is
proportionate to your age.
To compute your BMI, you have
to get first your height in meter
and weight in kilogram
To compute, follow the formula:

BMI= weight in kilogram= 60kg = 23kg/m


Height in m² (1.6m)²
BMI= weight in kilogram= 60kg =
23kg/m
Height in m² (1.6m)²

And based on the chart shown the


said BMI of a person with 60kg.
Weight and a height of 1.6m =
23kg/m has a classification of
NORMAL
