reporters who produces/writes informed news
reports and articles on scientific findings and
events. Science writers/reporters are often
required to simplify complex concepts so the
general public can better understand what is
happening in the world around them.

1. Find a good paper. Thousands of
scientific papers are published each
week. ...
2. Read it. Understand it. Write about
it.

7. Remember whom you are writing
for.
It involves writing featured articles
on trending topics, great
personalities, and relevant
issues about Science. This form of
writing is generally longer than
SCIENCE a specific news story and more
FEATURE informative in nature and is
usually the ones that piqued
people’s interest since they are
more on the entertaining side.
A scientific column/opinion is an
assumption that has been extensively
tested, evaluated by the scientific
community, and is strongly supported.
Scientific ideas that often describe a
SCIENCE large set of observations, and provide a
OPINION/COLUM cohesive explanation for those
N observations. An individual cannot come
up with a theory. Theories require
extensive testing and agreement within
the scientific community. Theories are
not described as true or right, but as the
best-supported explanation of the world
based on evidence.
