Create a text box in order to type text

Adding an Image
File > Place

Drag & Drop

Draw a Frame , Drag & drop an image into


frame

Right click frame for fitting options


Fill Frame Proportionally (Ctrl + Alt +
Shift + C)
Keyboard Shortcuts
Use adobe common keyboard shortcuts

Press Shift + W = Presentation mode


Up, Down go through pages

W = Hide/Reveal bounding boxes


Saving File
File > Save As Save .indd file

File > Export Export Adobe PDF (Print)

Image Frames
Press RIGHT, UP Arrow keys while drawing the
frame to increase number of frames
add images into frame. select all frames
press Ctrl + ALT + Shift + C to fit all frames at
once

Blue bounding box = Move image with frame


Red bounding box = move image within frame
Hold SHIFT while resizing

Select multiple frames, Object > Pathfinder >


Type Tool
Ctrl + ALT + SHIFT & < > change font
size

Add a placeholder text into text box


Type > Fill with placeholder text

Draw an object with pen tool on an image


Use type tool and click on object to add
text within object
Pages Panel
Insert, Move, Delete, Duplicate
pages/spreads
Two facing pages are called a spread

Master pages (Parent) work as a template


for all pages
You can apply master pages to document
pages
You can create multiple master pages
Wedding Album Design
Print Preset, Size Legal, pages 12, facing
pages ON

Open master page, (A-Parent)

Layout > Create Guides


create 3 columns & 3 rows, increase gutter
space
