The Armor Assault Battalion (AABN) with its Headquarters Service Company (HSC) was activated
on 01 January 2000 pursuant to paragraph III, General Order Nr 23, Headquarters Philippine Marine
Corps dated 20 January 2000.

LOGO SYMOLISM SIGNIFICANCE
 Represent the Philippine Marine Corps Organization.

 The star represents the three (3) major islands (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao).
PMC INSIGNIA
 Signifies that the Philippine Marine Corps form part of the Philippine Navy.
The closed anchor chain depicts the strong bond between the Fleet and the
Marines.

CHAIN Symbolize strength in unity of the unit.

Represents the strong bond that links Marines to one another and its closed
ROPE loop means that a Marine will forever remain a Marine.

LANDING VEHICLES
Symbolizes the Corps’ first armored tracked vehicle
TRACKED (LVT)
SIGNIFICANCE
Represents the battle cry of the unit which connotes “the
LAKAS LOOB guts” that boosted the morale of the operating troops whenever this
unit is needed and engaged in armor-infantry operation.

ASSAULT ARMOR
Stands for the unit’s strength, speed, and armored striking
power.

COLOR YELLOW - Stands for optimism, idealism, imagination, hope, sunshine,
summer, gold and philosophy.

COLOR GREEN - Represents the Armor Battalion’s ambition to excel and its commitment to
continuous growth and advancement..

COLOR GOLD - Stands for prestige, illumination, wisdom, wealth, and excellence.
