TReMoR2 Explanation
V 1.0
Introduction
• This presentation is designed to go over the
different features of the TReMoR 2 and how they
can be optimized for precession shooting.
What is The TReMoR2
Reticle?
• The TReMoR 2 Reticle stands for The Refined Mil
Reticle
• This manual will give an in depth explanation of
the following attributes of the reticle:

 General Breakdown of TReMoR 2

 Milling a Target
 Elevation
 Wind

To keep the grid uncluttered
the grid has sub tensions
at .2 .5 and .8

.8 .5 .2
After the 10th mil the grid
adopts the conventional Horus
mil grid with .2 mil intervals
for both elevation and wind
holds.
To keep track on counting
mils the lines on the both
horizontal and vertical
crosshair grow by point
one mil starting at .5 mils
going to .9 mils.
These different sized mil hashes can serve as two
purposes. They can help keep track of mils while counting
and can be used for vertical measurements. The first mil
hash is .5 mils in length with each of the following mils
adding .1 mils in length until the 5th mil which extends
to .9 mils. The cycle then repeats itself after the 5th mil
hash with the 6th mil which measures .5 mils.

H59, TReMoR2 Comparison
The H59 has the speed shooting formula
presented above the cross hair. The
TReMoR2 has the speed shooting formula
inserted into the grid and wind formula
represented by dots to replace the
standard Horus Mil Grid with .2 mil

Unlike the H59, the TReMoR 2
has the mil holds placed into the

Finding Value of Gun
The H59 and TReMoR2 reticles can be optimized by
finding what your speed shooting gun value is.
We can do this by finding the following:

1. Target Size(Mils Covered) Optimum Range is from .5

mils to .8 mils
2. Elevation Hold

Your weapon will retain the same number for the same
sized targets. The size of the target will be a factor when
using gun values. Different size targets will give you
different ranges which in turn will give you different holds.

TReMoR 2 Wind
• What really sets the TReMoR 2 a part from the
rest of the reticles is the revolutionary wind holds
built into the reticle grid. These wind dots are not
specific to one caliber.
• The TReMoR 2 looks at wind in a whole new way
by taking your gun information combined with the
atmospheric data to give you a value for each
wind dot.
Wind Mil holds
There is a mil grid built into the TReMoR 2 so people
can still hold off in mils rather than using the wind
dot value for holds
Hashes

mil markings
TReMoR 2 Wind
Speed Shooting
Formula
TReMoR 2 has revolutionary wind dots which can work with any
caliber and eliminate the hassle of clicks or having to input data into
a ballistic solver.
Finding Wind Values
• There are multiple ways for discovering what your
weapons wind value is:
o Using Kestrel with Horus Software
o Using the [Link] website
o Use ballistic solver
Wind Dots Values
with Kestrel
• In the Kestrel with Atrag Software you can go into
the Accuracy First and look for the wind dot value.
• This feature will give you the updated wind value
for your selected gun and atmospheric conditions.
Wind Dots
[Link]
• On the Horus Vision website one can get the wind
value for their gun by entering the data
requested from the website.
• This can be found by entering the reticles page
and opening the Wind Dot Calculator under the
TReMoR 2 description.

[Link]
Wind Dot Value
Ballistic Solver
• One can find the value of their weapon system by
entering a full value wind into their wind into their
ballistic solver and entering a range that has an
elevation hold of 4 mils.

(Demonstration continued on next page)

For ease we are using a wind value of 20 mph with
a hold in elevation of 4 mils.
Our ballistic calculator gives us the hold of 2.5 mils
for wind for the selected gun. We would draw a
line from the main cross hair at 2.5 mils down to
the 4th mil of elevation.
We see that there are just over 5 wind dots are
between the 2.5 mil and the vertical. stadia.
20 / 5 = 4
We now have discovered that our wind dot value is
slightly over 4 mph. This can change though
depending on your current atmospheric data.
Bracketing wind:
The shooter can bracket the
wind dots for a hold on a
target if wind is blowing
from 12 – 16 mph and each
wind dot is a 4 mph value

BC: .475 mph
.338 5 mph 10 15 20 mph
MV: 2850 mph mph

You are shooting and you Gun Info:
know that your target is 12” BD: .308
but is at an unknown BW: 175
distance. To find the BC: .475
distance we must find the MV: 2600
how many mils the target
covers.
Using the grid within the Gun Info:
TReMoR 2 you see that the 12” BD: .308
target fits within the .7 mil BW: 175
bracket. BC: .475

Using the mil/ size ratio formula we Gun Info:
know that this target distance is 435 BD: .308

shooting a 10 gun you know that you MV: 2600
can hold the 3rd mil line at center
mass of the target.
With elevation accounted for you Gun Info:
