Figure 9 showing the recommendations given by the respondents on
how the commercial banks can improve their loan services. Five (5)
persons or fifty percent (50%) indicated that they should lower their
interest rates, two (2) persons said that thy should increase the amount
of time given to repay loans, one (1) person thought that they should
have less paperwork. One of the respondents did not respond to the
question.

The most frequent response was to lower interest rates as indicated by
50% of the respondents. This shows that the majority of persons
believe that the commercial banks’ interest rates are too high. This
could be the major reason why persons choose to take loans at the
Cooperative Credit Union instead of commercial banks
• The findings of the study reveal that three reasons citizens of Falmouth

access loans are: to purchase a car or house, fund/further the education of

their children, to fund an event. These were the three most selected

responses on the questionnaire. It was also discovered that seventy

percent (70%) of the persons asked were aware of other financial/lending

agencies.
• The findings of the study reveals that most customers shop for
grocery twice per week. There are few others who shop once per
week and fortnightly. Additionally the top three reasons customers
would shop at another supermarket are the availability of given
brands, the price of goods and if there is an emergency.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Recommendations are realistic and informed by finding

2. Recommendation contribute to a better understanding of the


topic/issue/problem
• The Cooperative Credit Union can hold monthly meetings with staff
members and conducts surveys on how their services can be improved.
They can also offer more benefits to those who are not official members. In
addition, they can lengthen opening times.
• Based on the findings, it is recommended that supermarkets stock a wide

variety and adequate quantity of food items since this is the most

significant factor that influence consumers to change their supermarket of

choice

• Bibliography contains names of authors, name of publisher (s), names
and dates of publication, and are written in alphabetical order.
