same meaning.

essential for success.

that education is crucial for achieving success.

of the sentence while maintaining its meaning.

environmental issues.
Paraphrase: Environmental issues are
becoming an increasingly significant concern.

3. Use Different Word Forms (Nouns, Verbs,
Adjectives, Adverbs)
You can change the form of words, such as turning
a verb into a noun or an adjective into an adverb.

Original: People should be aware of the environmental
impact of their actions.
noun
Paraphrase: Awareness of the environmental
consequences of people's actions should be raised.

4. Use Passive Voice or Active Voice (when appropriate)
Sometimes changing the voice of a sentence (from active to
passive or vice versa) can be a good way to paraphrase.

Original (Active): The government should address
the issue of climate change.
Paraphrase (Passive): The issue of climate change
should be addressed by the government.
PARAPHRASING
7. Combine Sentences
Sometimes, combining two or more sentences
into one can help in paraphrasing.
Example:
Original: The rise of social media has affected human
relationships. It has led to increased isolation and
loneliness.

significant impact on human relationships, leading to
greater isolation and loneliness.

8. Use More Formal or Informal Language
(depending on the context)
Depending on the task's tone and formality, you
can switch between formal and informal language.

Example:
Original: People need to get involved in
community activities.
Paraphrase (formal): It is important for
individuals to engage in community activities.

and ideas. Instead, introduce new vocabulary that
conveys the same meaning.
