●The emissions of fluorocarbons that contain chlorine into the atmosphere deplete
the ozone layer.
●The emissions of all fluorocarbons into the atmosphere have an impact on global warming.
Refrigerant recovery is necessary in order to prevent the emissions of fluorocarbons
into the atmosphere.

3. Steps in refrigerant recovery (4) Preparing the air conditioner
(when the air conditioner cannot be operated)
Apply heat to the accumulator, receiver and compressor using a
hair dryer.
<Reasons>
The recovery efficiency improves when the refrigerant and refrigerant oil
are separated before refrigerant recovery.

Note
•Never heat with a direct flame, such as a burner, as it can be extremely
dangerous.

3. Steps in refrigerant recovery (4) Preparing the air conditioner
(when the air conditioner can be operated)
Turn the air conditioner on for about 5 minutes before starting
refrigerant recovery.
Pump down the refrigerant when the air conditioner has a
recovery service port.
