the girls often receive their introductions to this activity through their
parents or other family members.

their careers at about the age of 14 (Weisberg,1985: 94). Most come from
dysfunctional homes marked b7 family separation, divorce, conflict, weak

THEORIES APPLICATION
 LEARNING (SOCIALIZATION) THEORY
- Sutherland argued that deviant group behavior resulted from normative
conflict, Conflict among norms affects deviance through differential social
organization, determined by neighborhood structures, peer group
relationships, and family organization.
 RATIONAL CHOICE THORY
- Many people explain a great deal of deviance simply as purposeful
behaviors; such an action represents a choice made by the actor to behave
in a certain way, or to live a certain kind of lifestyle.
- Individuals make rational decisions based on a cost-benefit analysis.
SUMMARY:
 Heterosexual is defined as romantic or sexual attraction to people of
the opposite sex. These include premarital sex(sex before marriage),
extramarital sex(infidelity), and prostitution(sex exchange in money)
and pornography(harmless entertainment). Sex work, a broader
category, encompasses various commercialized sexual activities such
as exotic dancing, erotic message, and escort services. Prostitution
itself has a several subtypes, including call girls, bar girls, and
streetwalkers. The prevalence of these behaviors can be analyzed
through sociological lenses like social learning theory(how behaviors
are learned) and rational choice theory(weighing costs and benefits of
actions).
