its future projections are very impressive and promising. It’s a

 Summarize your career goals

 Eg - I feel successful with continuous progress. I find it

 Yes and include examples.

 Whatever task is assigned to me, I make sure it meets and

exceeds what is expected of me. I also make it a point to
reach out to teammates whenever needed.

 These are some positive words you can use.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SMART WORK AND HARD WORK?

 Hard work is spending long hours to complete the work. It

ensure results but the process is long & stressful. Smart work
on the other hand would be aiming for results but with
prioritization of tasks.

 Its only because of hard work that you become confident and
work smartly and become best in that field.

 Try and include as many personal experiences pertaining to

hard work and smart work individually or even about hard

WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO IMPROVE YOUR
KNOWLEDGE?
 Always tell them about the trainings and Workshops that you
are attending.

 Also attended various workshops on Personality Development

and Self Improvement.

 Example - This year I decided to teach myself more about

PhotoShop, with the goal of becoming so good that I could
upload my own YouTube videos one day. this is a skill that I
am very excited to add in my profile.

 I have decided to study Excel and Powerpoint.

BEING A MECHANICAL ENGINEER, WHY DO
YOU WANT TO JOIN AN IT COMPANY?
 There is no proper answer to this question.

 Research about the company and if company supports

businesses related to Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and
Civil and need people with these skills then you can mention
that in your answer.

 Like TCS has EIS (Engineering and Industrial Services) which

requires people with Mechanical, Electrical, Pharmacy etc.
 Example – You can also include that today all the streams of
engineering are getting inter related, it is not sufficient for
me to confine just to mechanical engineering. Having some
experience in the IT sector would give my career a multi
dynamic approach. Also I am interested in CAD design, the
development of which is completely done on programming.
Being in the IT sector would give me a greater insight on how
the software actually works.
YOUR FAMILY HAS A BUSINESS SO WHY YOU
WANTED TO DO A JOB?
 You can always add that the Education I have gained and the
skills I have will be useful if I apply in the company that works
on same skills. By working in a reputed organization will help
me to gain experience and help me in my career growth.

 I know I have a business but I wanted to pursue my career in

job first as I am more interested in Technologies and would
like to work for the organization to gain experience. Currently
there are no plans to do a business.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE STRESS, PRESSURE, AND
ANXIETY?

 If your work is planned and you are doing it properly I don’t

think so you will be stressed.

 I believe in working in a planned way and finishing my work

regularly. I always react to situations, rather than to stress. In
this way, I handle the situation and don't take the stress.
WILL YOU BE ABLE TO WORK WITH MULTI-
CULTURED PEOPLE
 Yes I know in such big organizations we will meet people from
different backgrounds, Different Cultures, Caste, Religion and
I am fine working with them. It will help me to broaden my
mindset and learn new things from people belonging to
different places.
ANY DIFFICULT SITUATION THAT YOU CAME ACROSS AND
HOW DID YOU OVERCOME THAT SITUATION?
 You can share your experiences about any difficult situation.

 Example – Belonging to the lower class family taking

admission in Engineering was tough but I took loan and
completed my degree. If I get the opportunity I will repay it
with my job.

 Staying away from family in Hostel and completing my

studies was the difficult thing but I overcome that by
adjusting to the situation and with people.

 Leaders Inspire people while Managers assign work to the

people.

 Being an effective leader requires listening to feedback.

While managers tend to delegate tasks and focus on getting
the work done.

 You Can mention if you know anyone and in which

Designation and Project they are working.

 I would prefer Liked because it commands ‘Respect’ which

fear will not give you.
WHAT DO YOU PREFER MONEY OR JOB
SATISFCATION?
 Being a fresher I would first prefer that the Job should be
good for me to stay productive and add value to the company
growth. If I don’t like the job money may not be fulfilling. If I
enjoy my work the money will automatically come along.
HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH AN ANGRY OR IRRITATED CUSTOMER?

 Ask the customer to explain his problem and carefully listen

to him. I will do my best to solve his problem. If that problem
is not regarding my work area I will park it to the concerned
team for resolving.
WHAT WILL YOU DO IF YOU DON'T GET THIS
POSITION?

 I have high hopes that I will be selected. If I don’t get select I

will look for another job that will help me to fulfill my goals.

 I will use the experience from this interview and improve my

skills for all the future opportunities .

IS THERE ANYTHING WHICH MAKES YOU DIFFERENT FROM OTHER CANDIDATES?

 I am not aware about other candidates whom you are

interviewing for this position. I believe that my background is
a great fit for your requirement and I hold a good technical
knowledge in some of the top technologies which makes me
apart from other candidates.
DON'T YOU THINK THAT YOU ARE OVERQUALIFIED
FOR THIS POSITION?

 Try to answer this question very smartly, don’t even hint to

the interviewer that you are overqualified although you will
be.

 I think I am qualified for this post because I am a fresher &

has lots to learn. I think qualification is not a result of
theoretical knowledge it also depends on practical knowledge
and learnings. After gaining practical exposure I will consider
myself as well – qualified not over [Link] never
ends.

 Be realistic and precise

 I have always wanted to work with a company which provides

a very comfortable and a good environment. I would like to
work in the company where I can get the opportunity to learn
and enhance my skill to become a better professional in the
future.
EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GROUP AND
TEAM?
 There is only one difference between the group and the team.
That is unity.
 Any set of people who stand together without any purpose or

goal can be called as Group.

 Whereas, when more than 2 people work towards a common

goal, can be called as a Team.

 Example: If you assign work to a group, then the work will be

divided between the members and each member will work

out their part, without any coordination with the other
members of the group. On the other hand, if you assign a
project to a team, they will collectively take the responsibility
and work together with the goal to achieve the desired result
WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY?

 You should always answer this question in a manner that

suits both your personality and management too.

 Example – I am not short-tempered but I feel annoyance

when someone disturbs me in my work without any reason.
When I get angry I try to control these feelings by working or
making myself busy.

 You can tell them about people who inspires you and helps
you.

 Example – The role Model of my life is my Mother. When I am

not willing to do certain things she pushes me to push my
