BASIC PRINCIPAL OF COMPUTER
HARDWARE
• Physical components of computer system are
called hardware. Input device, Processing
unit, Output devices and auxiliary storage
devices are called hardware. Keyboard,
Mouse, Printer, CPU, RAM are example of
hardware. Collection of programs designed
for a specific need is called software.
SOFTWARE
• Software, instructions that tell a computer
what to do. Software comprises the entire
set of programs, procedures, and routines
associated with the operation of a computer
system.
• Microsoft Word.
• Adobe Photoshop.
INPUT DEVICE
PROPER METHOD OF OPEN COMPUTER
• step 1 :- plug in monitor and CPU wire to socket.
• step 2 :- switch on the socket in which you
plugged the CPU and monitor wire.
• step 3 :- press the ON button on CPU.
• step 4 :- now your computer is opening.
PROPER METHOD FOR SHUTDOWN
• Proper method for shutdown
• Step 1: Click the 'Windows' button at the
bottom left-hand corner of your screen.
• Step 2: Click Shutdown or Restart.
• Step 3: Wait for the system to power itself
down, or start the reboot. Done!
KEYBOARD
This is a small board with several alphabetic and numeric keys
like a typewriter. It is flat and easy to carry. The keyboard has
102 or 105 keys mounted on soft springs such that when a key
is pressed, a text is inserted in an open text document;
pressing a key may also cause the command to be executed.
Each key is labeled on the top with one or more symbols. The
keys on the keyboard are grouped into four namely:
• Function Keys: F1, F2 … F12
• Alphabetical Keys: Aa, Bb, …, Zz
• Numeric Keys: 0, 1, 2, …, 9
• Special Keys: “, >, @, Tab, Caps lock, Ctrl, Alt, Esc, Shift,
MOUSE
