Book Review about the book

“Stay Awake, Agatha” by Serialsleepe

Agatha and Cooper are the central characters of the novel;

they spent the majority of their

lives confined to hospitals fighting their illnesses. Two star-

crossed lovers are imprisoned

together in a place where their futures are uncertain. Their

guardians and friends watched as the

two put everything on the line for their

relationship against a force they had no control over:

death.

Because of Agatha's narcolepsy, a sleeping disorder, she is

unable to have the same kind

of normal life as other children her age. She suffers from a

persistent form of this illness, which

causes her to sleep for days or even years at a time. Her

parents sent her to the hospital for the

required care not knowing what to do. She made new friends
here, notably Cooper, who would
go on to change her life.

has led a life distinct from those of his peers because he has
spent his entire life in

hospitals due to Myeloma. His health had been affected by

cancer, therefore he had to wear a

beanie to cover off his nearly bald head. Despite his illness,
he was still playful and ran away

from his nurse assistant before tripping over Agatha. Since

that time, he has evolved from a

mischievous child to a happy boy hanging out with a sleeping

beauty. In the cramped
environment known as Zero Ward, the two spent their
teenage years together.

In the story, Agatha first met Reema when she played a song
by her favorite K-pop group, EXO.

Cooper, Javi, and Agatha were all sent to the same ward as
her, despite the latter's earlier

confinement. She and Agatha connected immediately when

they discovered that they both had a

passion for music. She was the one who realized Agatha was
abusing the experimental drug to

prevent her from falling asleep so she could spend more time
with Cooper and
her pals. She was

aware that doing so endangered her life. Javi was the fourth
patient in Zero Ward to have an

accident-related tie-down on his wheelchair.

Uncle Leo is the nursing student who was responsible for

Zero. Uncle Leo, the nursing

student who had been in charge of Zero Ward ever since

Cooper was locked up was

affectionately referred to as Kuya (elder brother) Leo. He

developed become a second father to

the four patients under his care after seeing everything. Leo
experienced a
stroke as he grew

older. Despite this, he returned to the hospital once he was

well enough to look after his

"adopted" kids. For the purpose of bringing Agatha and

Cooper together, Kuya Leo acted as

Cupid.

The characters' bond developed as a result of the majority of

the action taking place in the

hospital. Due to his condition, Cooper has lost all desire to

live, but Agatha has been able to

persuade him to view every day as a gift.

From dawn to dusk and whenever one of them was

ailing, they were together. Agatha's sleep coma, from which

she awoke a few months later, had a

negative impact on her relationship with Cooper. The idea

that she might not wake up and

discover him still alive saddened him. In their absolute need

to remain together, they had made choices that only
endangered their lives. Cooper fabricated a vehicle accident
so he could be

admitted back to the hospital after recovering from cancer,

and Agatha signed a waiver to take
the experimental medication. The four patients in Zero Ward
had a life that was far from normal,

spending more time with the nurses and doctors than with
their friends and classmates. Every

day, Agatha and Cooper had to decide between dying and

getting better. To accept what is and

make each moment count until their final heartbeat required

their love for one another.

It is difficult for them to accept that each day they live could
be their last. However, they

were able to cross the bridge of love with

the support of their family and friends. Although the

romance subplot may seem cliché, the unexpected turns and

cultural allusions created Stay

Awake, Agatha a work that is dear to the reader's heart. The

best part for me in this story is when

the time the doctor announced the time of death of both the
characters, it made me realize that

not everyone is fortunate enough to live long. In that scene

made my heart cry all out.

In conclusion, the novel Stay Awake, Agatha is a slice-of-life

romance that
explores the

relationships between family, friends, and lovers. True love

endures hardships like illness and

even death. Stay Awake, Agatha is a must-read if you want

something that will keep you on the

edge of your seat while engrossed in a whirling romance. If

you don’t want a tragic story this is

not for you, but if you want a life-learning lesson book that
will make you cry at the same time it

will give you kilig, then I highly recommend this to you.

As a young teen, you can get a many life lessons, for love,
about family and about friends. It will

make realize how life works, it is not the same as other

romance book that will only teach you

how love is. Aside from that is you can really feel the plot or
scenarios, you wouldn’t regret

spending your time in reading this book. Since not everyone

will live as long as they want, we

should appreciate the moments we have together. Many

people who witnessed their fortitude and

courage to be together have been greatly

inspired by them to continue living.
