 I believe in God, the Father almighty,/
Creator of heaven and earth,/
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord/

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,/
born of the Virgin Mary,/

suffered under Pontius Pilate,/
was crucified, died and was buried;/
