Wet Process
The washing wet process for denim involves
several steps to achieve different effects such as
Distressing
Fading
Softening,
Worn-in appearance
These effect are achieve by using different
chemicals during washing.

PROCESS PURPOSE
Ozone Ozone reacts with the indigo dye molecules produces
color less fragments.
C16H10N2O2 + O3 → Colorless Products.
PP Spray To oxidize indigo from specific portion
KMnO4 + C8H7NO2 → MnO2 + C8H6NO2
Softening It makes a coating on surface of fabric to give it soft
and comfortable feel.
Neutralizi Sodium meta bisulfate is used to neutralize sodium
ng hypochlorite bleach
NaOCl + Na2S2O5 + H2O → NaCl + NaHSO4 + HClO
Drying: Once the washing process is
complete, the denim is dried using industrial
