What is POWER BI ?
Power BI is an interactive data visualization software product
developed by Microsoft with primary focus on business
intelligence.
Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and
connectors that work together to turn your unrelated sources of
data into coherent, visually immersive, and interactive insights.
Your data may be an Excel spreadsheet, or a collection of cloud-
based and on-premises hybrid data warehouses. Power BI lets
you easily connect to your data sources, visualize and discover
what's important, and share that with anyone or everyone you
want.

are available.

to multiple different sources of data, and combine them (often called modelling) into a
data model. This data model lets you build visuals, and collections of visuals you can
share as reports, with other people inside your organization

Filters in power bi
1. Visual-level Filters
The filters applied to visual-level are applied directly on individual visualizations. Such filters are
applied both on data and calculation conditions used within a visualization.
2. Page-level Filters
Page-level filters are for a particular page within a report whereas reports are usually of multiple
pages. You can apply certain filter conditions on a selected page within a report. Each page in a
report can have a different set of filter conditions applied to it.
3. Report-level Filters
The report-level filters are the filters that you use to apply a filter condition on the entire report.
The report-level filter will get applied to every visualization and page of a report. Thus, unlike
visual-level and page-level filters, report-level filters are generalized filters
