Forms
Past Perfect is used in the if-clause.
If I had known you were sick, I would have made you some
soup.
If I had not woken up so late, I would not have missed the
bus.
Type 3 Result Clause: Verb
Forms
The verb in the result clause is modal + have + verb-past
participle.
If I had known you were sick, I would have made you some
soup.
If you had been here yesterday, you could have seen Pam.
