FORMED
DIFFERENT
TYPES OF SUPERCELL TORNADO
TORNADO The largest and most
powerful. Their winds can
reach 300 mph (miles per
hour) as they spin during a
thunderstorm.
DIFFERENT
LANDSPOUT TORNADO TYPES OF
A thin tornado that develops TORNADO
beneath many cumulus cloud
columns over land. Winds only
last for a few minutes and can
reach speeds of up to 140 mph
(miles per hour).

TYPES OF
TORNADO Can happen close to large
flames and any strong
surface heat source.

A little vertical swirl that is TORNADO
linked to a downburst or gust
front but unrelated to the cloud
base.

downhill from a cumulus
cloud to any body of water.
DIFFERENT
DUST DEVIL TORNADO TYPES OF
They are swirls that rise and TORNADO
then disappear in the clear air;
they are not linked to the clouds
as they rotate.
Nobody can not predict the strength,
size, direction, or duration of a tornado.
A tornado's size and strength are only
known after damage has been done.
Unable to accurately determine a
TORNADO tornado's exact position.
Tornadoes can be categorized using the
FORECASTING Fujita-Pearson Scale. (It may not always
be an accurate indicator of damage.)

Can destroy many properties depending
