1. Increase New Product Sales -: Our goal is to boost sales of the
recently launched office stationery product line, including
notebooks, pens, and sticky notes.
2. Determine the Most Effective Sales Approach-: Identify the most
effective sales strategy for the new product line to maximize sales
and customer engagement.
3. Maintain and Strengthen Customer Trust: Our goal is to continue
building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with existing
customers.
Outcomes
No. of customers approached per sales method ?
This visualization depicts that more
than 7000 customers were sold
products through emails which is
higher than any other sales
method used. Less than 3000
customers were sold products
using both emails + calls whereas
less than 5000 customers were
sold products using only call. the
above graphs results that if we
want more no. of customers, we
should go with email method.
Outcomes
Maximum No. of products sold per purchase per customer
This visualization depicts that more than
3500 customers have purchased 9 or 10
products in one purchase. Very few
customers have purchased 16 products at
once. This means we should more focus
& try to sell at least those 9 to 10
products per customer per purchase to
increase our revenue.
Outcomes
For How many years customer stays with us / loyalty of customers
This visualization depicts that the
increase in customers who have been
purchasing products within 5 years
suggests that the store has been
successful in acquiring new customers
which results that more new customers
are linked to purchase of the products &
customers who have been purchasing
the products from more than 10 years
started to engage less. So we need to
provide more offers to our old
customers to make them loyal.
Outcomes
Which Sales Method helps in increasing Revenue ?
This visualization depicts that High revenue is
generated by email + call sales method which is
almost 2x times revenue generated from Email
only & approx. 3.5x times revenue generated
from call only. This results that if we need more
revenue then we should focus more on Email +
Call method.
The 1st visualization No. of customers vs Sales
method & this visualization, if both combined,
results that we should first send emails to get
more no. of customer & then we should also
call the customers to increase revenue.
Outcomes
Which Store located in which state is doing more business & generating more revenue
This visualization shows 10 top states,
state wise total revenue, and California
is the highest revenue generated states
among others followed by Texas & New
York. This shows that to increase
revenue we should provide best offers
to the customers in these 10 top states.
Outcomes
How many weeks does it typically take for revenue to start increasing after a product
launch?
This visualization depicts that as the
no. of weeks increases, revenue starts
to increase, at 6th week revenue
shoots to 2x times the revenue at 1st
week, this shows that our team is
getting results in selling the products
through Email + Call method.
Business Metric
• As our aim is to increase product sales & Revenue, I recommend
that we use the percentage of sales made by the Email + Call
method in the last six weeks as our metric, where the email
required little work from the team and the call was around ten
minutes per customer according to the data analyzed from the last
six weeks with the new products launched .
• Based on our data for the last 6 months, almost 50% of new
products were sold via the Email + Call method. So, if that number
increases in the next 6 months, that indicates a very good sign to
reach our goal.
Recommendation
For the following weeks, I would recommend we can focus on the following steps:
1. Using key metrics to monitor whether there is a strong sign to see the
sales will increase.
2. I recommend that the company continues to use the Email + Call method
since it captures the most revenue with the potential to significantly
increase over time.
3. To implement a loyalty campaign as quickly as possible, we must
intelligently promote new products on the market: create progressive
discounts for customers with longer loyalty time, focus on developing
products with the highest number of sales, development of combos of
related products for the joint solution sought by some customers.
Recommendation
4. Data collection for in-depth analysis:
i. Improve data quality —
1. how much does the number of visits to the site by customers define the
number of products to be purchased and the quantity of products to be
purchased?
2. Figure out why there are missing values in the revenue column (1074 missing in
the data)
ii. New related data
1. What types of products are being purchased by customers?
2. Are the most purchased options the Pens? Or is it the Printers? Or are the best
sellers desk chairs?
