• her father was Prince Albert (Duke of
York).
• her mother was Elizabeth (Duchess

Castle, until July 1949, when they took up
residence at Clarence House in London.

• In April 2011 Elizabeth led the family in
celebrating the wedding of Prince William of

• Elizabeth the first British monarch to reign
as a widow or widower since Queen
Victoria.
