PREVENTIONS
The best way to prevent diphtheria is to get ‘’vaccinated’’.
The diphtheria vaccine is combine with vaccines tetanus and
whooping cough known as “DPT vaccine”.
Dtap vaccine- for young children
-2,4 and 6 months
-15 through and 18 months
-4 through 6 years old
Tdap vaccine-for pre teens
-11 through 12 years old
Tol or Tdap vaccine-for adults
-every 10 years
