WHAT IS AN ADJECTIVE?
Adjectives are words that describe or modify a
noun/pronouns.
Identify or quantify individual people and unique
things.
usually positioned before the noun or pronoun that
they modified.
I. Possessive Adjectives
Possessive adjectives are used to indicate possession. They
are: My, Your, His, Her, Its, Our, Their
Example: - My car is parked outside.
- His cat is very cute.

II. Demonstrative Adjectives
A demonstrative adjective directly refers to something or

Examples: - That building is so gorgeously decorated.
- This car is mine.

EC A quantitative adjective provides information about the quantity of the

‘how many’.

TYPE OF ADJECTIVE
v. Proper Adjectives
When proper nouns modify or describe other nouns/pronouns, they become proper
adjectives. Proper adjective can addition (n,an,ian,e,y,s,I,tian) behind the word
Example: - American cars are very strong.
- Russian caviar is delicious.

vi. Interrogative Adjectives


An interrogative adjective asks a question. An interrogative adjective must be followed
by a noun or a pronoun. The interrogative adjectives are: which, what, whose.
Examples: - Which phone do you use?
- What game do you want to play?
vii. Indefinite Adjectives
An indefinite adjective describes or modifies a noun
unspecifically. They provide indefinite/unspecific information
