Introduction To React JS REACT
• React is a JavaScript library for building user interfaces.
• React is used to build single-page applications.
• React allows us to create reusable UI components.
• React is a free & open source library.
What is React? REACT
• React is a declarative, efficient, and flexible JavaScript library for
building user interfaces. It lets you compose complex UIs from
small and isolated pieces of code called “components”
• React, sometimes referred to as a frontend JavaScript framework,
is a JavaScript library created by Facebook.
• React is a tool for building UI components.

What is React? REACT
• React community also provides advanced concept like state
management, routing, etc., on top of the React library.
How does React Work? REACT
• React creates a VIRTUAL DOM in memory.
• Instead of manipulating the browser's DOM directly, React creates
a virtual DOM in memory, where it does all the necessary
manipulating, before making the changes in the browser DOM.

React.JS History REACT
• React.JS was first used in 2011 for Facebook's Newsfeed feature.
• Initial Release to the Public (V0.3.0) was in July 2013.
• Current version of React.JS is V18.1.0 (April 2022).
• Current version of “create-react-app” is v5.0.1 (April 2022).
• create-react-app includes built tools such as webpack, Babel, and
ESLint.
React.JS History REACT
• Facebook Software Engineer, “Jordan Walke”, created it.
Applications REACT
• Few popular websites powered by React library are listed below −
• Facebook, popular social media application
• Instagram, popular photo sharing application
• Netflix, popular media streaming application
• Code Academy, popular online training application
• Reddit, popular content sharing application
Why Should We Use React ? REACT
• React has a large community on github.
• Component Based Architecture.
• Dom updates are handled very easily and effectively.
• Declarative approach.
Declarative approach REACT
• You tell the browser exactly what to do, instead of telling it what
you need. The React declarative approach abstracts that for us.
• With declarative code, we tell JavaScript what we want to be done,
and let JavaScript take care of performing the steps.
Pre-Requisites REACT
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
