Understanding Adjectives: Superlatives Guide

1. There are three types of adjectives: positive, comparative, and superlative. 2. Comparative adjectives indicate superiority, inferiority, or equality compared to another person or thing. Superlative adjectives express that something is the most or least with the article "the" placed before the adjective. 3. There are different rules for forming the superlative based on the number of syllables and ending of the adjective, such as adding -est, -iest, or using "most/least" for adjectives of two or more syllables. Irregular adjectives do not follow these rules.
