Sample Scenarios for these Reports
Completion Report
• An arborist completes annual maintenance work at a conservation park and creates a
COMPLETION REPORT for the conservation park manager. The completion report identifies the
scope of the arborist’s work (what was completed, what is still outstanding, next steps and
recommendations)
Progress Report
• A millwright completes the first phase of repairing an industrial machine. The second phase will
begin once additional parts are supplied in the next two weeks. Also, the millwright is waiting for
information from the client on some proposed changes. The millwright completes a PROGRESS
REPORT. It shows what work has been completed, what remains in phase 2, identifies the changes
that need to be approved and indicates when phase 2 will start. It can be used by the client to see
progress, or by a boss or another worker who takes on phase 2.
