News is information about current events printed
in newspapers or broadcast by the media.

• News is reporting the facts and getting information from reliable sources.
• It answers all basic questions and gives directly what happened to a
particular event.

WHEN LEAD
• begins with the time
BODY
• Supports the lead
• Provides additional information
• Not in chronological order but in a logical
order
• Use an inverted pyramid structure
