ABSTRACT
• Now a day's notice board has become an important thing in institutes/organization or public places like
railway stations, bus stands and hospitals. But to use the paper notices stacked on a notice board is a time
taking and expensive process and there is wastage lot of time, paper and labour. The notice board is used
to display the information in an effective way to the people, but to update the messages instantly is not
easy on the notice board. In this paper we have proposed and implemented an advanced Hi-Tech Wireless
Notice Board. An Android application of smart phones or tablet which is connected to Bluetooth (HC-05)
can be used to display the latest information by enhancing the system. A low cost programmed
microcontroller (Arduino Uno) is used at the receiver to receive and display messages in the LCD display.
Instead of sticking notices manually on a notice board the authorized user can speak and the verbalized
voice is sent through a Bluetooth and displayed on the LCD screen. message has taken as an input for our
application and it is online speech to text conversion.
INTRODUCTION
• In this world Mobile Phones and the related technologies are becoming more and more prevalent. Various
technical arenas in the field of Telecommunication and Embedded Systems are becoming omnipresent in
the people. The use of cell phones has rapidly increased over the last decade and a half Upgradation in
networking technologies has encouraged the development and growth of very dense networks. Now-a-days
the general mass prefer communicating while on the move therefore landlines usage has been drastically
reduced. Notice boards are one of the widely used ones ranging from primary schools to major
organizations to convey messages at large. A lot of paper is been used and which is later wasted by the
organizations. This in turn leads to a lot of deforestation thus leading to global warming. Small innovative
steps in making use of technology for regular purposes would have an adverse effect on the environment
issues which we are presently concerned about. The main aim of this paper is to design a SMS driven
automatic display Board which can replace the currently used programmable electronic display and
conventional notice boards. It is proposed to design to receive message in display toolkit which can be used
from an authorized mobile phone. The whole process can be described from the transmitter and
receiver section.
COMPONENTS
1.Arduino UNO:
Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino
boards are able to read inputs - light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message and tune it
into an output activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. You can tell your
board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board. To do so we use the
Arduino programming language (based on Wiring), and the Arduino Software (IDE), based on
Processing.
2.BREADBOARD:
• Breadboards are temporary work boards for electronic circuits. The general shape of a breadboard is Compatible
with most breadboards, 24-gauge wire is used to connect circuits: solid wire, not stranded. Sometimes, kits may be
available with various colors of fixed lengths to specifically fit breadboards,. These are a nice convenience.
Breadboard has sets of miniature sockets laid out on a 0.1 inch grid which will accept the manual insertion of
component leads and tinned copper wire (TCW) links. It has rows of contacts interconnected in groups placed either
side of the center line of the board, where the integrated circuits (ICs) are inserted, giving multiple contacts on each
IC pin.
3.HC-05 BLUETOOTH MODULE:
HC-05 Bluetooth Module is an easy to use Bluetooth SPP (Serial Port Protocol) module, designed for
transparent wireless serial connection setup. Its communication is via serial communication which
makes an easy way to interface with controller or PC. HC-05 Bluetooth module provides switching
mode between master and slave mode which means it able to use neither receiving nor transmitting
data.
4.JUMPER WIRES:
A jump wire (also known as jumper, jumper wire, DuPont wire) is an electrical wire, or group of them in a cable, with
a connector or pin at each end (or sometimes without them simply "tinned", which is normally used to interconnect the
components of a breadboard or other prototype or test circuit, internally or with other equipment or components,
without soldering.Individual jump wires are fitted by inserting their "end connectors" into the slots provided in a
breadboard, the header connector of a circuit board, or a piece of test equipment.
5.LCD DISPLAY 16X2:
• The term LCD stands for liquid crystal display. It is one kind of electronic display module used in an extensive
range of applications like various circuits & devices like mobile phones, calculators, computers, TV sets, etc. These
displays are mainly preferred for multi-segment light-emitting diodes and seven segments. The main benefits of
using this module are inexpensive; simply programmable, animations, and there are no limitations for displaying
custom characters, special and even animations, etc
CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
STEPS FOR BUILD
• Step 1: Gather the Required Components and Understand the Circuit.
• Step 2: Connect the LCD With Breakout Board.
• Step 3: Connect the Bluetooth With the Arduino.
• Step 4: Download the Code From the Attachment.
• Step 5: Switch ON the Hardware.
• Step 6: Open "Arduino Bluetooth Control” App.
• Step 7: Display the Message on the LCD.
WORKING
• In our project we use power supply, Arduino UNO, LED module, Bluetooth HC-05 and mobile application. After uploading
the program in Arduino UNO, we will give them external power supply. Due to that all functions of equipment's are on. At
that time, we will pass the notice which we want using mobile. Then this notice will receive by Bluetooth. And by using
Arduino this notice/SMS will display on digital notice board. The Bluetooth wireless technology is in this system we are
using a PAN (personal area network) where its distance ranges from 10-15 meters and frequency band width of2.45GHz
connections. For application we have used a serial communication of HC-05 Bluetooth module interfaced with the
microcontroller and a Physical (MAC) address are used so that only the device with android application program (Bluetooth
terminal) are allowed to communicate with the identified Smartphone for controlling the external devices. Once the
communication is initiated between android based smart phone (PDA) and a Bluetooth device HC-05 Bluetooth module then
the Bluetooth terminal can transmit and receives the text information in the form of hex and string and user can pass the text
information immediately. The messages in the LCD display can be updated by resending the notices and overwrite with old
notices by sending new messages at any time from PDA android based program through Bluetooth technology
within the campus.
APPLICATIONS
• The proposed model is used in bus stations, railway stations, parks, etc. to display the
messages wirelessly.
• This Project can also be used in colleges and organizations.
• The multi terminal is intended for simultaneous management of multiple accounts, such as
WIFI and Bluetooth for which is mostly helpful for transmitting message to the display.
• The applications mainly include in public places like shopping malls, airports.
ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
• Advantages:
• The electronic notice board is wireless and no need for wires for displaying information on the LCD
display.
• It is very easy to operate and consumes less power.
• The circuit of the wireless notice board is portable.
• Notice board with wireless is easy to install and use without wasting any resources.
• It is really helpful for disabled or handicapped people so that they can only speak and same is
displayed on LCD screen.
• It will reduce the use of resources like paper and pen and hence deforestation can be turned into a
forestation.9.1
• Disadvantages:
• The range of the Bluetooth is 10-15 meters.

CONCLUSION
• The concept of wireless technology is introduced in the field of the communication we can
make our communication more efficient and faster, with greater efficiency. We have
developed a voice control Bluetooth wireless android application for a notice board displays
the error free messages and with good maintenance. And this system can be used in colleges,
school, offices, railway station and commercial as well as personal used which reduces the
use of a resources like pen, paper etc. In future we can apply this method for remote
teaching classes.
