1-Autumn is the season when the hot or

WRITING
I LIKE SPRING
My favourite season is spring . The weather
is warm and sunny. Everything looks green
and beautiful. Flowers start to bloom and
leaves start to grow. I usually spend my
spare time in the public park with my
friends. It’s a lot of fun. We have a picnic
and we enjoy the fresh air and warm
weather. We have a lot of activities like
catching butterflies , collecting colourful
flowers and flying a kite.
A CONVERSATION BETWEEN TWO SEASONS
SPRING: I am the fun season. People like me because of my
warm weather and shining sun.
SUMMER: No, I am the fun season. My weather is hot and
sunny. I give people more sunshine than you. My days are
longer.
SPRING: But I give life to plants and flowers which start
growing green leaves.
SUMMER: I give happiness to people. They feel relaxed in their
light clothes. Pupils are on holiday. They go swimming. They
play games and build a sandcastle.
SPRING: I give happiness too. Children play outside. They catch
butterflies and collect colourful flowers.
SUMMER: No, I don’t think so. You give the windy weather.
Children can’t play outside.
DESCRIBING AUTUMN
Autumn comes after the summer holiday. So,
pupils go back to school and welcome the
new school year. They meet their friends and
teachers and start studying again. wWnter is
the season of change. The weather gets cool
and the leaves turn brown and start to fall.
Birds migrate to hotter places to escape the
cold of the coming season. People visit their
farms to collect fruits. People can travel and
go on picnics.
I LIKE WINTER
Winter is my favourite season of the year. It’s
between autumn and spring. During winter, the
weather is very cold and the temperature falls
even below 0° C in some parts of the country.
People wear heavy clothes like jackets, boots
and coats. Some also burn little pieces of wood to
get warm. When the weather is snowy, children
are so happy. They go outside and play in the
snow. They throw snowballs at each other or
make a snowman.
I LIKE SUMMER
My favourite season of the year is summer. I like
it because of its hot weather, the school vacation
and the fun activities. When summer starts, I
wear light clothes of bright colours - like shorts,
sandals and T shirts. I play with my friends, eat a
lot of ice-creams, drink fresh fruit juice and
watch cartoons . I love to go to the sea to swim
and relax on the beachwhile reading a book.
