TYPES OFMIXTURE
HETEROGENEOUS HOMOGENEOUS
HETEROGENEOUS
• When solid materials are mixed with
other solid materials each of the
combined /mixed materials can be easily
identified from one another. These
mixture is call heterogeneous mixture.
• The components of the
mixture are distinguishable
from one another. The girl obtained a yellow juice extract
with pulps and seeds when she directly
squeezed the calamansi to a glass.
In halo-halo, you can
identify the ingredients. It
is a heterogeneous
mixture. Each property of
materials do not change
their size, shape and color
remain the same after
mixing them together.
EXAMPLES
Halo- Mixed Oil and
Halo Vegetables Water
HOMOGENEOUS
Some solid materials when mixed
with other solid materials cannot
be distinguished from each other.
The resulting mixture looked the
same all throughout.
When sugar is dissolved in water,
you cannot distinguish sugar in the
solution. This kind of mixture is
called Homogeneous Mixture
EXAMPLES
Fruit Rubbing Soda
Juice Alcohol Drink
REMEMBER
Heterogeous Mixture is a mixture
made of two or more substances that are
combined or mixed together but not dissolved
together.
It can be separated into its original parts
When the materials mixed with other
solid materials cannot be distinguished
from each other the resulting mixture
look the same all throughout this kind
of mixture is called Homogeneous
