Globalization has greatly impacted communication and communication has further enabled globalization. Globalization refers to the increasing interconnectivity of societies, economies, and cultures globally due to advances in transportation and communication technology. This interconnectivity leads to both the convergence of cultures but also enables individual cultures to maintain their identities. Global communication has been directly affected by globalization through increasing opportunities for international business, lessening of cultural barriers, and bringing people across the world closer together.
