Jesus’ Defense of Your Case

in Court
“The President on Trial”
Judgment is one of the most important
topics in the Bible. It was mentioned over
1,000 times.
The Judgment
Revelation 14:6, 7
6 Then I saw another
angel flying in the
midst of heaven, having
the everlasting gospel
to preach to those who
dwell on the earth to
every nation, tribe,
tongue, and people
7 saying with a loud
voice, Fear God and give
glory to Him, for the hour
of His judgment has
come; and worship Him
who made heaven and
earth, the sea and springs
of water.”
Three Phases of Judgment in the Bible:
1. Investigative judgment— before the second
coming of Christ (Daniel 7:9-10, 13)

2. Millennial judgment— following the second

coming of Christ (Revelation 20:4; 1
Corinthians 6:2, 3)

3. Executive judgment— at the close of earth’s

history (Revelation 20: 9, 14, 15)
Matthew 12:36, 37
Matthew 12:36, 37

36 But I say to you that for every idle word

men may speak, they will give account of
it in the day of judgment.
37 37 For by your words you will be justified,
and by your words you will be
condemned.”
Books in Heaven:
1. the book of
remembrance
(Malachi 3:16)
2. the book of life
(Revelation 3:5)
Acts 17:31
Acts 17:31
31 because He has
appointed a day on
which He will judge
the world in
righteousness by
the Man whom He
has ordained. He
has given
assurance of this to
all by raising Him
from the dead.”
2 Corinthians 5:10
10 For we must all
appear before the
judgment seat of
Christ, that each
one may receive the
things done in the
body, according to
what he has done,
whether good or
bad.
The Judgment Day
Daniel 8:14

14 And he said to me, “For two thousand

three hundred days; then the sanctuary
shall be cleansed.”
The Sanctification of the
Sanctuary
The 2 types of sanctuary service:
- Daily service
- Annual service
Events in daily service.
Leviticus 4
Events in the annual service.
Leviticus 16:30
Levitico 16:30

30 For on that day the priest shall make

atonement for you, to cleanse you, that
you may be clean from all your sins
before the Lord.
The vision of Daniel 8:14 refers to the
time of the end (v. 17).
What is the meaning of the Judgment
that began in 1844
It means the hour of God’s judgment has
actually begun and Jesus, our High Priest, is
now performing His ministration, pleading
on our behalf based on His sacrifice at
Calvary.
It means we are now living in the most
solemn period in the history of man.
Therefore, we have to search our hearts
during this Heavenly “Day of Atonement” as
was Israel in their yearly “Day of
Atonement.”
The Pre-Advent Judgment will be followed
immediately by the Second Advent. It means
Jesus is coming soon to bring us home.
Revelation 3:5

5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in

white garments, and I will not blot out his
name from the Book of Life; but I will
confess his name before My Father and
before His angels.
Guilty and the heavenly records will stand
against us. Or
Not guilty and the blood of Jesus covered and
cleansed our sins.
Saved and we will be awarded with everlasting
life. Or
Unsaved and we will be condemned to
everlasting destruction.
