Introduction

 The purpose of database management systems is to access and

manipulate data in a database

 We have developed a ER diagram and a database of Oasis hospital diagnostic


management systems. 

 Oasis Hospital Sylhet Limited is a renowned health care provider in Sylhet.

 Using this database, we can see how data and information can be organized and
managed in Oasis hospitals diagnoses

 To demonstrate Entities, Attributes, Relationships of Oasis Hospital


Diagnostic System

 Give an overview of the database that will be shown by the ER


Diagram which links the different entities together

 To demonstrate the Tables, Queries, Forms and Reports of the Database

 With the help of the ER Diagram, the hospital can keep an up-to-date
log of all the tests and examinations
Entities & Attributes

Entities: Entities are objects in the real world that can be


distinguished from other objects. Entities can be a place, people or
thing.
In this table, we can see the entities of Oasis Hospital Diagnostic
System:

 Patient
 Doctor
 Medical Record
 Registration
 Administration

Attributes: Attributes give us information about the characteristic


features of an entity.
The Patient entity has attributes such as Name, Patient_ID, Age,
Gender.

A relationship is an association among two or more entities.

A relationship is represented by a Diamond shape and shows the relationship


among entities

Oasis has multiple patients. Thus, it is a one-to-many relationships

Oasis has many doctors. Thus, the relationship that exists is one-to-many

 Table is a collection of data about specific theme such as


administration, doctor, patient, medical record etc.
 Data is organized into columns (fields) and rows (records or
tuples)
 In the datasheet view, user can add, edit or view data
 In the design view user can create table from scratch

 Query is a question user ask to the database and it responds


accordingly by presenting the relevant records
 After the tables are made, we made different queries

 Forms are through which user can enter information in their


database.

 A report is printed information that, like a query result, is


assembled by gathering data based on user-supplied criteria
Conclusion
o With the help of this Database of Diagnostic Management System,
Oasis hospital can automate numerous daily processes and allow
smooth connection between patients and administration.
o It can be a great opportunity to create unique, efficient and fast model
for healthcare by developing hospital system software.
